Stefan’s paper published in Nature Genetics!

With long overdue, the impressive work led by our previous PhD student, Stefan, with help from many lab members and collaborators (Elling Lab, Vienna; Zuber Lab, Vienna; Schubeler Lab, Basel) is published in Nature Genetics.

Angela and Niklas join the group for their MSc internships

Angela Topic joined us from University of Zurich, where she is enrolled in the Quantitative Biology and Systems Biology Masters program. Angela will develop novel methods to test co-factor – gene promoter dependencies.

Niklas Kupfer, from Ulm University, joined our lab for an internship as part of the UU Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences MSc program. His work will focus on characterising a new set of histone-acetylation readers.

Welcome Douwe

Douwe ten Bulte started in our group as a PhD Student. Douwe studied Molecular and Cellular Life Science at Utrecht University and completed his MSc internships in labs using GWAS and CryoEM. In our group he will study the cross-talk between repressive chromatin modifications.

Welcome to Nathalie and Xue!

Nathalie de Wagenaar and Xue Bao have joined the lab as research technicians.

Nathalie did her PhD at the Department of Molecular Genetics, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, working on SMAD3 mutations. Xue did her PhD at the Department of Chemistry, Utrecht University, followed by a postdoc in the same department working on membrane biochemistry.

Welcome onboard!
