Joel Wirz joined the lab as technician. Joel joined the institute already in May and helped setting up the lab and getting everything ready for a good start.
Massimiliano Manzo is the first PhD student to join the lab! Massimiliano did his MSc at the LMU Munich in the group of Heinrich Leonhard.
Bruno Speck Award 2015
Tuncay receives The Bruno Speck Award for Basic Research from the “Stiftung für Hämatologische Forschung” and the Basel Stem Cell Network for his recent studies published in Nature. The award will be presented on April 20th, at the BSCN Annual Meeting 2015.
Two SNSF-funded PhD positions
We are looking for talented and motivated PhD students to join our newly established group. Projects will aim to uncover the mechanisms that generate and interpret epigenetic modifications, genome-wide. Candidates will employ a variety of techniques ranging from embryonic stem cell culture, high- throughput genome engineering, genome-wide mapping, proteomics and computational analysis.
